Make 'em Laugh

Mommy is exploring the world of blogging via mobile uploads.  That may mean more consistent updates.  We shall see.

We are coming out of a busy weekend and have much to share:

Saturday
Touch-a-Truck:  Seb did not want to get out of the Taxi ("No Mommy.  Ridin' in taxi") and Eli and Mommy got to enter a Brinks truck through the secured "drum".  Eli sat on a police motorcycle and honked the horn/blasted the siren.  And everyone danced with the Ghostbusters!
Haircuts:  Everyone was shorn by the end of this weekend. Bring on the heat.
International Picnic at Eli's school:  Watching mimes and dancers (belly and Irish), hearing the drums... and when mommy looked for her guys, she found Daddy engaged in a noodle fight with three preschoolers... with Seb unattended at a distance.  Good times!

Sunday
International Children's Festival:  "Plop" was great fun, though Seb did not care for the Terrible Plop.  Mirazozo (the colorful luminarium) is always a hit!
Soccer:  Eli scored two goals!  Not that we are keeping score... because we're not.  Shhhhhh!

Number of boxes packed: 1.  Gulp.

Quotes of the weekend:  Listening to music in the car, suddenly Sebastian starts singing along:  "Make 'em Laugh, Make 'em Laugh." This may be the most appropriate theme song for this kid ever!

Eli to Mommy: "If there were another war, I would hope it would be a normal-size war, not a World War.  But if another country were being mean and we asked them like a thousand times to stop, then I guess we'd just have to call a World War on them." [Response to my VERY watered down history of what started WWII.]
