Colonel Victore E. Delnore

We had the great good fortune of learning that a reunion of Giddoo's old battalion was scheduled in Pittsburgh in Fall 2012. Aunt Patty was invited, since one of the big events at the reunion was a screening of the Japanese documentary about Giddoo's time in Nagasaki. We all went and Abe and Eli got to meet some of their grandpa/great grandpa's old war buddies, including the gentleman pictured here with Abe and Patty. What a wonderful experience!

Back to School - Kindergarten, here he comes!

Eli started Kindergarten at the Campus School of Carlow University - his third year in the Montessori Classroom.  His teacher, Miss Stephanie, is an old friend by now.  Eli loves Montessori (he is very doctrinaire) and looks forward to a year as the big kid, teaching the threes and floors to follow the method.  Not to be outdone, Seb wanted to mark his return to preschool in big-kid style. Seb is starting at the Early Learning Center at Carlow four days a week, but will be able to stay with his beloved Nancy and his buddies at Nancy's Daycare (Zachary and Jack!) every Tuesday!

Summer 2012

In June, we headed to Virginia Beach, where the kids spent a week alone with the grandparents.  But we were all there in time to see ships from all over the world on a gorgeous day!

Then we hit the beach!

Then daddy and mommy headed back to Pittsburgh and... we closed on our new house!!  Thus began the big move to Highland Park to start livin' the American dream.

There's a zoo in our new neighborhood!

Mom and Dad celebrated their 10th anniversary in style... dinner sur l'herbe... at a Death Cab for Cutie concert on the North Shore.  Pretty great, actually.

A visit from granddad Sam was a great opportunity for a visit to Fallingwater.  Sorry, no kids allowed.

Wrestling at the Vintage Grand Prix

First camping trip... a quick stop in the Laurel Highlands en route to family vacation near Hershey, PA with the Dyes!  We enjoyed the wilderness... and the kitchy good times at Dutch Wonderland and Hershey.

Live of the Amish... sort of.
